The monitor below switches between displaying air quality information and wet bulb globe temperature information.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is used for reporting daily air quality. It indicates how clean or polluted your air is. The colour corresponds to the air quality index at the current time at that station. The AQI is based on the values of up to five key pollutants – ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2) and particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5) – to determine the degree of air pollution at the location of the device. The index corresponds to the poorest level of any of the five pollutants, based on the following ranges:
Wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) is a measure of heat stress in direct sunlight. It is a comprehensive measure of all the weather-related factors that impact the health and performance of athletes.
